Friday, June 1 Self-Guided Cambridge Historical Tour (by many selves) Get to know Our Fair City! Weather permitting, we'll meet on the steps and using our collective knowledge and several guidebooks trolled from the Public Library to take a walking tour of the Land of Cantabrigians. Bring a bicycle if you have one, in case we want to have a far-ranging splinter group to get to corners of Cambridge.

Sunday, June 3 John Sawer’s Birthday Party The cogs of time drag me one year closer the terminus of 30. So I'm having a party! We'll begin searing the animal flesh in the back at 3pm, including some free-range tofu that my mother caught trekking though Manitoba. Don't bother with gifts, just bring some drinks or side dishes and we'll be all set (‘tater salad, hard lemonade, soda, desserts, you get the idea). After the general outdoor grillifying funnitude we will retire to the living room for board games, video games and perhaps some MST3K. Party on Garth!

Wednesday, June 6 Intergenerational Men's Discussion Group Men, Do you have a father? Are you a father? What is your relationship with your father? Is Dad your hero or your nemesis? What lessons have you gathered in life because of your father? How are you like him? Do you know your father? Would you like to know more about him? How would you like your son to be? We will be gathering to talk about fathers and the father/son relationship. This is meant to be an opportunity to explore our own understanding of fathers and to share experiences that have created the relationships we have today. William Young will be leading a discussion that lets us get to the root of our roots. Discussion will start promptly at 7. Please try to respect this and make a personal commitment to yourself to a couple of minutes early.

Wednesday, June 27 Intergenerational Women's Discussion Group We have many different sorts of relationships with men: family members, friends, lovers, colleagues, classmates, etc. Are there differences in how we relate to men than how we relate to women? What are the major points of difficulty and/or joy in your relationships with men? Do you believe that men are from Mars and women are from Venus? Come for a stimulating discussion. All those who align themselves with the female gender are welcome.
