YAG Calendar

Sunday services at FirstParish (3 Church Street, Harvard Square) start at 10:30, followed by a coffee hour. The Young Adult Group meets informally for lunch every Sunday after the coffee hour. This is an easy way to meet people and find out more about YAG.

StfS: Community Building

Sharks and minnows, predator/prey, sleeping lions – do you remember these games? Do we spend enough time in our lives being playful? Just in case a dose of silliness is in order, for our Community Building evening tomorrow (Tuesday) night, we will remind ourselves of what it is like to spend time in a child-like, creative state, using multiple senses and our imaginations for the sake of play. After check-in and before planning the social activities for the coming month, we will return together to the days of elementary school … and Rainy Day Recess.

Time: gather at 7:00 pm being at 7:30 pm
Location:Barn Room

StfS: Spritual Discussion

Sorry for the late posting. Tonight's YAG focus is spiritual discussion and our topic is calm. More specifically, how do we create calm in busy lives that are filled with bustle, anxiety, and rushing towards goals? How do we find a peaceful state of being that is something more than mere idleness? How do we disengage from the wind tunnel between past and the future and be quietly, fully present in now?

This evening, we will share thoughts on these questions and others that relate to calm in our spiritual lives. We will gather in the First Parish nursery upstairs at seven, discussion begins at 7:30.

Time: meet at 7, start at 7:30
Location:nursery

Midsummer Night's Dream

Evan's famous! Yup! He's starring in Midsummer Night's Dream as Lysander, the perfect pre-Midsummer Night's outing for YAG :)

For the sake of ease in transportation how 'bout we try to see the show at the Roxbury Center for the arts? I'm thinkin' we may want to go either the 19th or the 20th so that folks can still head out to Unirondack for Memorial Day Weekend.

If you wanna go, let me know sometime in the next week and we'll see what day works best for everybody. Tix are $15.00. More info on the flyer above and below the dotted line.
