YAG Calendar

Sunday services at FirstParish (3 Church Street, Harvard Square) start at 10:30, followed by a coffee hour. The Young Adult Group meets informally for lunch every Sunday after the coffee hour. This is an easy way to meet people and find out more about YAG.

Intergenerational Men's Discussion Group

The Intergenerational Men’s Discussion Group will meet Wednesday, February 6 at 7:00 PM for socializing in the First Parish Barn Room then start a subject-focused discussion at 7:30 PM. In this discussion, we will explore the topics of death and loss (and touch a bit on what I sometimes consider the opposites: life and gain). In our daily lives and even at funerals, we tend to gloss over what death and loss means to us. Following such habits can cause us to lose touch with very important aspects of ourselves, our relatives, our friends, society, and the "spiritual world." We miss the chance to experience life to fullest and connecting to the world(s) around us by avoiding such topics. Through facilitated discussion in this venue, we will hopefully come away with more of a connection to the world(s) around us. If we can't reach that point, however, we can at least get a better view on some topics not discussed too often. Either way, we'll have some good discussion.
