YAG Calendar

Sunday services at FirstParish (3 Church Street, Harvard Square) start at 10:30, followed by a coffee hour. The Young Adult Group meets informally for lunch every Sunday after the coffee hour. This is an easy way to meet people and find out more about YAG.

These are currently planned young adult group and selected church wide events. Newcomers are always welcome to events. If you have any questions please contact the listed contact or youngadults@firstparishcambridge.org. The calendar is subject to change so check back here and watch the YAG announcement list.

Interested in hosting an event? Please take quick read through how to host an event.

Childcare is provided upon request with 10 days notice for events at the church. The church office provides a list of approved childcare providers. There is no charge to the parent. You are encouraged to use this service by contacting the appropriate event host, who will make arrangements with the church office.

Poetry, short stories, lyrics, or an excerpt from your novel-in-progres= s. Feedback will be offered in a creative supportive environment. We will= explore each others' expressive styles, and think about rhythm and voicing.

Beyond Venus and Mars Discussion

Fri 02/04 (Beyond Venus and Mars)/Church at 7P SARAH GIBB (sarahgibb@earthlink.net 617.625.5640) An interactive workshop will explore gender roles: where did we learn them, how do they fit us, how do we feel about them. Through discussion and creative art we will explore what is lost and what is gained by conforming to either male or female gender codes, and will suggest ways to increase understanding and be allies for people of all genders.

The Cheese Shop, Competitive Novel Writing, The LumberJack Song, etc. 72 Marlboro Street, in Belmont. From Harvard Square take Mt. Auburn St west to Star Market, Right onto Belmont St. after the first bend in the road (you will pass a coin laundry on the right), take a right onto Marlboro St (the preceeding street is Oxford St). We are the last place on the left before the road dead ends into a cemetary. Marlboro is the second to last right before the first big intersection. By bus, please take the 73 and follow the same directions... get off at the Oxford Street Stop.
