About the calendar These are currently planned young adult group and selected church wide events. Newcomers are always welcome to events. If you have any questions please contact the listed contact or youngadults@firstparishcambridge.org. The calendar is subject to change so check back here and watch the YAG announcement list. For more information on First Parish chuch wide events, visit the church's site. Interested in hosting an event? Please take quick read through how to host an event. Childcare is provided upon request with 10 days notice for events at the church. The church office provides a list of approved childcare providers. There is no charge to the parent. You are encouraged to use this service by contacting the appropriate event host, who will make arrangements with the church office.

Friday, January 26 Discussion & Workshop - Welcoming YAG Jan 26 (Friday), 7 pm "Discussion & Workshop - Welcoming YAG": First Parish of Cambridge One of the congregation's new strategic goals is to undergo the "Welcoming Congregation" process to better welcome bi-gay-lesbian-transgender members. This seems like a good time for the Young Adult Group to consider these issues as well. The purpose is not to come to any conclusions--and certainly not to set YAG policy!--, but I think it would be good to raise these points and see if anything needs addressing. We will also do activities from one or two of the interactive workshops in the Welcoming Congregation series. The exact workshop is to TBA, but possible topics include the Common Roots of Oppression, Homosexuality and Religion, the Radical Right, the Formation of Gender Roles, or How Homophobia Affects Us All. Note: this YAG event is parallel to, not a part of, the official Welcoming Congregation Task Force.
