Friday, March 16 Discussion Young Adult Group as Dating Circle YAG provides a spiritual setting where young UU's can "walk in beloved community." However, what happens when some members choose to explore other meanings of the word "beloved"? Intra-YAG dating has been the source of many wonderful romance stories and happy marriages, and has also been a source of some of the worst tension I've seen in my time here. We come from very diverse places, and "common sense" mean very different things to different people. How does dating--or attempted dating—impact the YAG community? What general principles do people think members should adhere to? How has the "recent" shift to Friday nights affected the spiritual-to-social quotient in the group? What should happen when YAG'ers split up? How does the (I believe mistaken) perception that YAG is a singles group affect our ability to attract members? And what effect does "YAG as dating circle" have on heterosexism within the group? I'm hoping people will come with a variety of perspectives on this topic

Wednesday, March 28 Intergenerational Women’s Discussion Group Topic: "Embracing our own masculinity" Do we embrace the more masculine aspects of ourselves? Are we jeopardizing our femininity by doing so? What are the anxieties surrounding this process? What will we discover as we explore this topic together? Join us as we find out! Please note, that as a women's discussion group, we welcome all humans who align themselves with this gender.

Friday, March 30 Theological Discussion Theological Discussion at 7pm at First Parish Topic: Humanist and Theist Are you a humanist or a theist? How do you define your humanism or theism and how does it relate to your life and your UU faith? Or do you think that it is a mistake to treat these terms as polarities? Come and discuss the humanistic and the theistic aspects of our UU faith: their roots, histories, and most importantly, their impact on our daily lives as UUs. The first hour will be spent in a fish bowl forum and the second hour in open discussion.
