Monday, January 6 Intergenerational Women's Discussion Group
Topic: This month's topic will be - what else?- resolutions-but with a twist. Join us to discuss the fresh starts the New Year offers us, and how we feel about the tradition of making New Year's resolutions-how we make them, break them, keep them, or invent new approaches for setting goals and making change.

Sunday, January 12 YAG Planning Meeting Come help plan events for February. If you want to host an event next month, please come! This could also be a chance to get involved. It is not necessary to have extended experience in YAG to help out. Come and we'll find something you'd enjoy doing.

Tuesday, January 14 Intergenerational Healing Touch Group The Healing Touch Group is a wonderful and welcoming gathering of folks interested in creating a safe space for sharing the natural healing power of human touch. No professional massage experience is necessary. If you like to give and receive theraputic and spiritual bodywork, such as massage or Reiki, come join us. Each evening begins with a centering and relaxing meditation. Please plan to arrive at 7:00, so that we may begin with a guided meditation promptly at 7:30. Late arrival would be disruptive to the group once we begin, so the doors may be closed at that point.

Friday, January 17 Games Night
Just a reminder that we have a games night coming up this coming Friday
evening at 7:30 p.m. It's at First Parish (I'll check which room) and,

Thursday, January 23 Spiritual Discussion Hi Everyone, We'll be having a monthly YAG Spiritual Discussion group this Thursday, January 23, at 7:30 in the Barn Room.
This month's topic: It's often easy to engage in spirituality during services on Sundays. What do we do to integrate that spirituality into our everyday lives? How do we cultivate and practice spirituality outside of church services? How does it influence our behavior at home, at work, or with family and friends?
Looking forward to seeing you there!

Friday, January 24 Arts and Crafts Night Need motivation to finish knitting those mittens? Want to create some art in the supportive presence of others? Come for arts and crafts night-bring your unfinished projects or supplies for others to share too. Paper, paint, yarn, clay, sparkly glue-use your imagination! Snacks will be provided but feel free to also bring some to share-maybe decorate your own cookies. Please also bring extra supplies (scissors, glue, tape, etc.) as well.

Saturday, January 25 Second Annual Blizzard Bash It is time for First Parish's 2nd annual auction/contradance event! People of all generations from First Parish joined in the festivities and made last year's Bash a smashing success. Come join our community for an evening filled with dancing, laughing, sharing, and of course, bidding on your favorite auction items. Start thinking about what services you would like to donate to the auction this year. Please e-mail Amy Cooper dillard57@hotmail.com with a short description of what you would like to contribute. If you're on a tight budget, don't worry because there will be donated tickets available. It would greatly appreciated if those who are able, were to purchase a second ticket for this donation. Keep your ears open for more details on this event in the upcoming weeks.

Sunday, January 26 Cooking Club - Italian Theme: Italian. After consulting with my Italian expert, it was suggested a spaghttati (which my understanding is lots of spaghetti with different kinds of sauces and other yummy sides). I also wanted to come up with something a little easier if we are going to watch any part of the game. So I have several sauce recipes and we also need some salad, antipasta, dessert, bread, etc. Please RSVP by Wednesday so I can get a headcount (and know what you would like to cook) and please be willing to financially contribute by either buying groceries or chipping in some moola.

In its thirty-five year history, The Nameless Coffeehouse has been a launching pad for many well known folk (and other) performers including Tracy Chapman, Patty Larkin, The Story, Ellis Paul, Bob Franke, Ric Ocasek, and comedians Andy Kaufman and Jay Leno.
